The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a patient-centered, team based multi-specialty practice that has a full-time opportunity available for a Operations Site Manager in central Brooklyn. BSFHC has been providing affordable, comprehensive, outpatient medical and dental services in an outpatient setting for over 40 years. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), BSFHC serves all of the primary health care needs of families in the heart of North and Central Brooklyn. Position Summary

The Operations Site Manager ensures effective coordination of clinical support and non-clinical workflows, maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in aligning site activities with organizational objectives, fostering operational excellence, and supporting the delivery of equitable, patient-centered care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise PSR’s and front desk operations.
  • Prepare monthly schedules and ensure adequate coverage and breaks.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of site and communicates with the Facility Director to ensure cleanliness.
  • Oversee all non-clinical programming and patient information services.
  • Orders all supplies necessary for the efficient operation of the offices.
  • Maintains petty cash and prepares receipt for CEO approval.
  • Handles human resource issues in collaboration with the Leadership Team and with BSFHC’s Human Resources department as necessary.
  • Address patient complaints and feedback; document issues and support resolution efforts.
  • Reviews bills generated by BSFHC when patients inquire in person or by telephone. Make adjustments on the bills, if necessary, and send the information to the Billing Department. Answers questions about bills that patients may have.
  • Oversee the business office operations such as patient registration, billing information, and the opening and closing of encounters, and act as a liaison with leadership.
  • Completes adjustment forms when a patient has changed insurance or no longer gets Medicaid. Obtains Health Center CEO approval.
  • Maintains the inventory of furniture and equipment.
  • Reviews daily and monthly statistical reports on patient utilization of services and providers, on collection of fees from self-pay patients, and on no-show rates per provider.
  • Trains. coaches, supervise, and evaluate Patient Servoce Representatives
  • Participate in meetings, special projects, and serve as a backup for clinical support when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience is preferred.
  • Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday), as needed to support site operations.

  • Proven commitment to maintaining confidentiality in compliance with BSFHC policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a consistent display of professionalism, courtesy, and respect when interacting with patients, staff, families, and community members.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to engage diverse populations with tact, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Dedicated to ensuring that all patients and visitors receive prompt, personalized attention and are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in using eClinicalWorks (eCW) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Salary Range 50k and Based on experience
